Issue #62 - Video
[In the mess hall is Chris, who's somehow procured a gigantic poster board stretching a good twelve feet across.
On the board is pinned a photo of everyone on the Barge. Marker in hand, Chris begins going through the photos one by one - every time he gets to someone he knows is changed, he scribbles a black goatee on their face. Yes, even the women. Especially the women.
He pauses when he hits Tig Traeger.
And then takes out a small bottle of White-Out and begins to carefully erase his goatee]

[OOC: A thousand thank-yous to Fire for the amazing art!]

And then I'm just going to take a picture and send it to everyone once this is done.

Who's the third shift helper? Marsh, right?
no subject
I dunno. I've been eating in my room.

It's just paying to patrol, get to see people, that kind of thing. First rule of superheroing: know your community.

Hey, not so glum, eh? We all have our parts to play, and our own ways to save souls and lives.
Thought you were part of the set, huh? Costume and everything. You can still do some good even if you're not punching faces, you know. This, right here? Great idea. And you're well known and you reach a lot of ears.

It's just something I thought would help. No big deal.

[ Jack pauses, and reaches out -- no tentativeness in his touch once he decides to give it, and puts a hand on Chris's shoulder. ]
And every little bit does help. [ He stepped in, much quieter now, voice pitched for Chris alone ] We need to be aware of who is here and woh isn't. The wardens from over there have every reason to want to go back, but the inmates there will have every reason to want to sabotage our efforts to getting our ships untangled. And I can't blame them... but it could prove they may be more dangerous to us than the mirror-wardens are.
I have Derek monitoring he inmate channels, but we need to keep eyes out on our new 'wardens' on this side, too. Just in case they get ideas about making sure we can't fix things. Think you can give me an extra set of ears there?
no subject
...Didn't think of that one. But we can't keep the inmates here, we'll never get our people back.
Yeah. Yeah, sure, no problem.

[ Jack took his hand back, looking back at the list. ]
That's... the hard part, though. No matter what we do, we're condemning someone to suffering.
no subject
Maybe we could only switch some people. Keep the rest.
no subject
[ And Jack really does believe that it would be. Save double the souls, condemn the wardens to their hungry ship. ]
You maybe we should do some door-checks. See what rooms changed, that sort of thing? Go to door to door, ask if they've accepted the Good Ship Redemption or if they're Team Goatee, or something, for our unknowns. Have to ask Derek how bootcamp went, see who showed up, if anyone was weird...

[ He doodled a fine goatee on Vergil, and then he added one to Iris... along with a dark bob to simulate Bianca's hair. ]
Bianca's not hard to miss, she's totally different from Iris.
no subject
...Ah, shit. Iris? Really?
Fuck.
no subject
[ He draws a goatee on C'rizz next. ]
Pretty much all my friends except Derek, so far.

[ And probably a new cuddle buddy. ]

So... yeah.
[ Sometimes being Derek's friend is hard. ]

I wouldn't put it that way to him, though.
