So say you're planning a trip to meet your boyfriend's family.

And said boyfriend's mom is complete and total psychopath who can fuck with your mind if she touches you.

And you think maybe you should actually try to get along with these complete strangers because maybe, someday in the far, far off future you might actually see yourself getting together with this fucking idiot with stupid hair.

There's a difference between wanting someone happy and wanting them provided for. There is, I believe, a kind of pride in knowing that your children are considered worthy of care and devotion. She'll take some status from feeling like her son has chosen to couple himself with someone wealthy and important, whether Cassel is happy with you or not.

You may also wish to commend, or thank her for raising such a fine young man. Even if she doesn't deserve the praise, she'll enjoy it from you.
